Marissa Whalley, Registered Psychologist
MC, R.Psych · she/her · Based in Calgary, serving Alberta online
I work with individuals aged 16 and older, and couples. My main areas of focus are anxiety, relationship issues and stress. I am an EMDR Therapist. I also work with trauma and PTSD, complex trauma, dissociation, first responders, Veterans, military members and BIPOC clients, as well as depression, life transitions, self-esteem and ADHD.
$235 per 50-minute individual or couples session. Sessions are by secure video. New clients can usually start with me within about a week.

How I work
You bring knowledge of your own life. I bring clinical training, curiosity and a collaborative approach. We make room for what is difficult, explore patterns, and agree on practical goals together.
Depending on your needs, I draw on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), emotionally focused and attachment-based approaches, and EMDR. For couples, I also draw on the Gottman Method.
Our first session focuses on understanding what brings you in, how you are managing day to day, and what you hope will change. We then discuss treatment options and a plan suited to you.
I'm an LGBTQ+ ally and welcome clients of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
